Certification

In the cannabis industry, certification is the formal recognition of a person’s expertise, a product’s safety, or a facility’s operating standards. Unlike a license—which is a mandatory government approval to operate—certification is usually a voluntary or third-party credential that demonstrates higher quality, safety, or professional competence.
