Since taking ownership in June 2025, Rubicon has undertaken a series of strategic steps to prepare Cascadia for commercial production. These included targeted capital investments, securing all required licenses, commissioning the facility, and onboarding more than 30 operations team members. Key improvements included modifications to the facility layout and the installation of new grow tables, which are expected to enhance operational efficiency and increase annual production capacity.

With Cascadia now fully planted, Rubicon anticipates that production could grow further as crop performance data is collected and selections from the company’s genetics library are optimized. The initial harvests are expected to be monetized in Q2 2026, with production quality projected to reach flagship‑brand standards by mid‑2026.

To mark the first harvest, Rubicon held a grand opening event on Feb. 19 at the Cascadia facility, bringing together employees and partners from both government and the cannabis industry who supported the project from acquisition through commissioning.

The Cascadia facility covers 47,500 square feet of purpose-built indoor cultivation space and is outfitted with advanced growing technology. It is a cornerstone of Rubicon’s strategy to expand its premium and super-premium cannabis offerings and increase supply to meet rising market demand. The company currently estimates the facility’s annual production capacity at up to 4,500 kilograms.
