The Cannabist Co. Opening 6th Ohio Dispensary in Norwalk
The Cannabist Co., one of the country’s most experienced cannabis operators, is expanding its Ohio footprint with the grand opening of Cannabist Norwalk on September 10. Located at 383 Milan Ave., the new dispensary is the company’s sixth in the state and the first cannabis retailer in Huron County.
The launch also marks the debut of The Cannabist Co.’s signature retail brand in Ohio, reflecting the company’s strategy to build a unified, consumer-focused retail identity nationwide.
Dual Use Store Serving Norwalk Community
Cannabist Norwalk will operate under a dual-use license, serving both registered medical patients and adult-use consumers. The dispensary will feature a curated selection of products, including the company’s own house brands—Classix, Seed & Strain, and Triple Seven alongside more than 100 third-party brands available across Ohio. The product menu spans flower, pre-rolls, edibles, concentrates, and topicals.
“Bringing Cannabist to Norwalk is a big moment for our company,” said Erick Rodriguez, senior vice president of national retail at The Cannabist Co. “Patients and adult-use customers who visit Cannabist Norwalk will feel welcome, informed, and confident in what they buy. That’s what Cannabist is all about—delivering expert product guidance and a higher guest experience.”
A Milestone for Expansion
The new store brings The Cannabist Co.’s Ohio presence to six retail locations, with plans to grow to eight by year’s end. The company’s seventh store, in Saint Clairsville, is expected to open later in 2025 pending regulatory approvals.
To celebrate its Norwalk debut, the dispensary will host a grand opening event on September 10, offering customers enrollment in its loyalty program and store-specific promotions throughout the day.
Cultivation and Manufacturing Support
The Cannabist Co.’s Ohio operations are supported by advanced cultivation and manufacturing facilities that help supply its expanding retail network. By investing in both production and retail, the company aims to ensure a consistent pipeline of high-quality products tailored to both medical and adult-use markets.
Strengthening Roots in Ohio
For the Norwalk community, Cannabist represents not only a new retail option but also the first legal cannabis dispensary in the county. As the market grows, the company hopes to establish its Cannabist-branded stores as a trusted destination for cannabis education and products.
With more stores on the way, The Cannabist Co. is cementing its role as a major player in Ohio’s cannabis market while rolling out its national retail brand identity to more consumers across the U.S.
