Calyxeum’s 4/20 Surprise: New Dispensary Launch in Detroit

File-14 3

Calyxeum, a prominent cannabis cultivator and processor based in Detroit, is gearing up for the grand opening of its first retail dispensary in the city on Saturday, April 20. Teaming up with Michigan cannabis retailer Moses Roses, Calyxeum is set to unveil “Moses Roses Powered By Calyxeum,” marking a significant milestone for the company.

Owned and Operated by Industry Advocates

The brains behind Calyxeum’s expansion are Rebecca Colett and LaToyia Rucker, both longstanding advocates in the cannabis industry and proud Detroit natives. With the opening of this new dispensary, Colett and Rucker join the ranks of the few minority women cannabis dispensary owners in the United States.

Location and Facilities

Situated at 6237 Federal St. in southwest Detroit, Calyxeum’s newest dispensary adds to its existing operations, which include two cannabis growing facilities—one in Detroit and another in Lansing, MI—along with a processing facility in Lansing.

Calyxeum’s Cannabis Offerings

The retail store will offer a diverse range of cannabis products, including bulk flower, packaged varieties, and an extensive selection of cannabis-infused products. Customers can expect boutique flower genetics, Michigan brand gummies, pre-rolls, and Calyxeum’s signature dessert gummy line and rosin-infused pre-rolls.

Vision and Values

Rebecca Colett, CEO of Calyxeum and co-owner of Moses Roses Powered By Calyxeum, expressed her excitement about the expansion, emphasizing the significance of being a Black woman-owned and operated cannabis company in Detroit. LaToyia Rucker, COO of Calyxeum and co-owner of Moses Roses Powered By Calyxeum, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the importance of their work in the community and the cannabis industry.

Grand Opening Highlights

To celebrate the occasion, Moses Roses Powered By Calyxeum has planned a host of activities for its grand opening on 4/20. Attendees can enjoy product and pricing specials, live DJ performances, complimentary food, and comedy entertainment. The dispensary will operate from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. seven days a week following the grand opening.

As Calyxeum and Moses Roses Power By Calyxeum embark on this new venture, they remain committed to shaping the cannabis experience and paving the way for other minority women in the industry. Their dedication to community engagement and industry leadership sets a precedent for inclusivity and innovation in the evolving cannabis landscape.
