Prodigy Processing Solutions (“Prodigy”), a leader in GMP-compliant cannabis extraction technology, has announced a strategic partnership with Refined Processes LLC (“Refined”), a Native American-owned cannabis oil processing company. This collaboration aims to establish the first fully GMP-compliant pharmaceutical cannabis extraction facility in the United States.

Unique Legal Advantage

Located on the Santa Ysabel Reservation in California, Refined operates under tribal sovereign law, allowing it to bypass federal restrictions that affect state-licensed cannabis businesses. This status enables Refined to legally ship products across state lines between Native American tribes and to international customers.

Facility Upgrade and Global Reach

Refined is upgrading its existing lab with Prodigy’s state-of-the-art GMP-compliant extraction equipment to meet pharmaceutical standards. The company is negotiating with key pharmaceutical, retail, and distribution partners in the EU, Australia, and the Pacific Rim to supply both precursor extracts and finished products under its brand, Sugar Bear Cannabis.

Leadership and Vision

“Our partnership with Prodigy enables us to leverage their cutting-edge technology and deep expertise to broaden our reach and impact,” said Aaron Thomas, CEO of Refined. With a strong background in the cannabis industry, Thomas aims to revolutionize Native American cannabis oil extraction.

Setting New Standards

Prodigy’s USA-made extraction equipment, crafted with 316L pharmaceutical stainless steel, meets or exceeds global GMP standards. “Refined and its tribal sovereign nation partners are positioning themselves ahead of all other U.S.-based cannabis extraction operations,” said Marc Beginin, CEO of Prodigy.

Industry Impact

This collaboration signifies a major milestone in cannabis extraction, setting new benchmarks for quality and compliance. Prodigy and Refined invite other tribes and companies to explore similar collaborations, aiming to elevate cannabis extraction operations globally.
